Reporting to the Senior Data & Analytics Lead, the BI Developer will be responsible for driving the direction and maintaining the business data model ensuring it aligns with business activities and processes.
The role will work closely with key internal and external stakeholders in organising and creating a data model that makes data and information accessible with appropriate channels of access controls. Fostering a relationship of trust and playing an advisory role in the use of data to improve business performance.
The role will require playing a highly collaborative role by overseeing cross-functional data governance while ensuring the adoption and adherence to data quality are understood by stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for designing effective, efficient data models to support various types of data exploitation (reporting, analytics, predictive modelling)
Lead the development and maintenance of the IM platform, setting coding standards.
Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines for data ingestion, processing, and transformation in Azure.
Utilise Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks and SAP Business Objects to create and maintain ETL operations.
Deliver dashboard reporting and data sets which are interactive and user-friendly via PowerBI
Identifying and integrating external data into the business data model
Implementing data validation and cleansing procedures will ensure the quality, integrity, and dependability of the data.
Improve the scalability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness of data pipelines.
Monitoring and resolving data pipeline problems will guarantee consistency and availability of the data.
Key Requirements
Good understanding and competency in technologies currently used (and available in the marketplace) to support the data loading and delivery of Analytical solutions
Experience of Microsoft Azure Data Products (Azure Data Factory, Azure DataBricks, Power BI)
Solid in data analytics, architecture and design including cloud/hybrid
Solid in end-user and visualisation tools and proficient in equivalent technologies
Experience in data modelling methodologies
Experience with evolving technologies i.e. Big Data, Real Time Analytics, Predictive Analytics, Bots
Experience with emerging practices i.e. Agile, DataOps
