About the Role

My client is a leading engineering business delivering innovative, high-performance solutions across complex projects. They are looking for an experienced Principal Engineer to join their Huntingdon team and provide technical leadership across a range of exciting projects.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior engineer looking to take ownership of complex engineering challenges, influence technical strategy, and support the development of the wider engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership and engineering direction across complex projects.
Lead engineering activities from concept and design through to manufacture, testing, and delivery.
Review and approve designs, calculations, specifications, and technical documentation.
Ensure designs meet customer, regulatory, safety, and quality requirements.
Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering and project teams.
Lead technical reviews, risk assessments, and problem-solving activities.
Mentor and develop engineers across the team.
Liaise with customers, suppliers, and other key stakeholders.
Drive continuous improvement, engineering best practice, and technical innovation.Essential Skills & Experience

Degree or equivalent in Engineering or a related discipline.
Significant engineering experience within a complex design environment.
Proven experience in a senior/principal engineering role.
Strong technical design and problem-solving skills.
Experience leading complex engineering projects.
Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
Experience mentoring and supporting other engineers.
Strong understanding of relevant engineering standards and regulations.
Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working towards chartership is desirable.Benefits
