Acorn by Synergie is recruiting a Furniture Assembly Operative to join a well-established mobility furniture company in Newton Abbot.

As a Furniture Assembly Operative, you will be responsible for assembling, checking and finishing metal and upholstered furniture using a range of hand and power tools.

What We Offer

£12.71 per hour, increasing to £13.45 per hour after 12 weeks.

Monday-Thursday: 7:30am-4:30pm.

Friday: 7:30am-1:15pm.

On-site parking.

Key Duties

Read and follow job sheets, assembly instructions and build diagrams.

Safely use cordless drills, screwdrivers, mallets and other hand and power tools.

Inspect finished products for quality, defects and correct assembly.

Ensure products meet the required quality standards.

Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment.

Follow all company health and safety procedures.

Requirements

Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

Ability to follow safety procedures and assembly instructions.

Practical problem-solving skills, particularly when parts do not align correctly.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Good basic communication skills.

Previous furniture assembly or manufacturing experience would be advantageous.
