Job Advertisement: Infrastructure Project Manager
Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Infrastructure Project Manager to support the delivery of crucial public transport infrastructure projects across the East Midlands area. This exciting opportunity is perfect for an individual passionate about making a difference in the construction sector, particularly in enhancing public transport facilities.
Position Details:
Contract Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 3 months
Daily Rate: £400 - £600 (dependent on experience) - Inside IR35
Working Pattern: Full Time
Location: East Midlands
Driving Required: Yes (full UK driving licence essential)
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the delivery of various public transport infrastructure projects, including bus stations, interchanges, bus stops, and accessibility improvements.
Develop construction or engineering briefs, specifications, and scopes of work, ideally with experience working independently with contractors and consultants.
Conduct site visits, inspections, and meetings with stakeholders to ensure project alignment and compliance with health and safety standards.
Navigate the complexities of the public sector environment, engaging effectively with stakeholders and ensuring governance requirements are met.
Utilise knowledge of contract management and project delivery processes to facilitate successful outcomes.
Candidate Profile:
Proven experience in managing infrastructure, highways, civil engineering, transport, or public realm projects.
Familiarity with construction health and safety requirements and relevant industry standards.
While formal project management qualifications such as PRINCE2 or APM are advantageous, practical experience is highly valued.
A background in construction, civil engineering, highways, surveying, or project management is beneficial but not mandatory.
Strong interpersonal skills to engage with contractors, stakeholders, and the community effectively.
