Data Engineer
Location: London, 3 days per week in the office
Salary range: £50,000-£70,000 + benefits
Purpose: Design, build, and maintain scalable data architectures, including pipelines and
cloud-based data warehouses.
Tech: Python (NumPy, Pandas), SQL, ETL, Cloud (AWS, Azure or GCP), Snowflake, Airflow, BigQuery, PowerBI/Tableau

Immersum are supporting the growth of a specialist consultancy who solely specialise in the Maritime trading industry. You will work onsite with 1 specific client to design, build and maintain scalable data architectures working with key stakeholders in their business to shape their data-driven strategies.
The Company:
They have a long history providing IT services to the Maritime industry and are looking to provide its Data Insights services to key business partners who require Data Engineering expertise to support data management activities.
The Role:
The successful candidate will work on all aspects of our client's data architecture, collection, pipelining, governance, and security. This extends to machine learning deployments, financial benchmark production, and internal auditing of data quality and integrity.
The Tech:
Python: Strong proficiency, including experience with libraries like Pandas and NumPy.
SQL: Advanced skills in complex querying and data manipulation.
Data Modelling: Proven ability in designing efficient models for scalability and performance.
ETL Processes: Deep expertise in developing and optimising ETL pipelines.
Version Control: Experience with Git for code collaboration and change tracking.
Data Pipeline Tools: Proficiency with tools such as Apache Airflow.
Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with AWS, Azure, Snowflake, and GCP.
Visualisation: Tableau or PowerBI
Delivery Tools: Familiarity with agile backlogs, code repositories, automated builds, testing, and releases.
