Job Description

The Best Connection Birmingham are currently recruiting for our client based in the Aston area of Birmingham for Administrators. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business supporting a busy packaging and compliance function, with immediate starts available.

We are looking for organised, detail-focused individuals with strong administrative skills who can confidently manage documentation, data entry, and supplier communication within a fast-paced environment.

The role of the Administrator:

  • Creating and maintaining packaging records and product documentation.
  • Collecting technical information from suppliers, including drawings, material specifications, and compliance documents.
  • Preparing and updating Declarations of Conformity and ensuring all required documentation is uploaded correctly.
  • Reviewing documentation for accuracy before submission for approval.
  • Tracking approvals and ensuring compliance deadlines are met.
  • Maintaining accurate records and databases.
  • Liaising with suppliers and internal departments to obtain information and resolve documentation queries.
  • Supporting the Packaging Technologist with administrative and compliance-related tasks.
  • Ensuring all documentation is available and completed before products are dispatched.
  • General administration duties as required.

Personal skills required:

  • Previous administration experience.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office packages, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively.
  • Comfortable working with documentation, data entry, and compliance records.
  • Previous warehouse administration, logistics administration, compliance, or quality administration experience would be advantageous.

Hours of work:

  • Monday to Friday
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • 09:00 - 17:00

Duration:

  • Initial 2-month assignment.
  • Opportunity for one successful candidate to be extended into a longer-term role based on performance.

Hourly rate:

  • £13.51 per hour
