Reed Finance are supporting our client who are seeking a Finance Manager to provide essential support to the Finance Director and senior management. This role involves leading the finance team and managing the day-to-day financial operations within a leading manufacturing business.
Day-to-day of the role: Oversee the daily postings of Accounts Payable Ledger, Accounts Receivable Ledger, Cashbooks, and Nominal Ledger.
Ensure monthly balance sheet reconciliations are completed and queries are resolved promptly.
Analyse and report on overhead nominal ledger codes, comparing to budget/prior year to ensure accuracy in postings, accruals, and journal entries.
Support the preparation of weekly and monthly reporting packs and analysis.
Review Purchase Orders raised by departments and provide cost information to managers for budget review.
Review monthly VAT returns and support the preparer.
Maintain Fixed Asset Register and Construction in Progress Register.
Lead the systems review process and participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives.
Act as the main point of contact for information required by external auditors.
Assist in budget and forecast preparation in collaboration with cost centre managers, sales team, and other stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications: Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
Strong IT/systems knowledge, with experience using an ERP system being beneficial.
Proven track record of building relationships across an organisation, including both finance and non-finance personnel.
Team management experience is advantageous.
