Apex Business Consultants have an immediate requirement for an experienced Financial Controller. Based on the outskirts of Llantrisant, the successful candidate will play a key role, being responsible for financial management and reporting for our professional services client. The role will be office based and hours worked; Monday to Friday.Duties of the Financial Controller:Prepare data for monthly management accounts, profit and loss and balance sheet reports.Maintain an accurate spreadsheets and ledgers for internal reporting and reconciliation.Support with year end financial statements.Provide weekly and monthly reports on current projects.Submit monthly VAT returns, ensuring correct application of VAT rates.Advise on VAT implications.Produce short and long term cashflow forecasts.Recommend measures to support cost saving and improve efficiencyGeneral finance duties to include, raising invoices, tracking asset value, credit control, supplier liaison, making payments and supporting the Purchase Ledger.Act as a main point of contact for financial matters.Person Spec:Must have previous experience and live in South WalesResilient and able to work in a fast paced environment.Proven experience within a finance role, ideally within the professional services.Organised and strong attention to detail.Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.Comfortable dealing with clients and following up on payments.Good team player.Salary will be DOA and we are happy to discuss prior to application.
