Head Chef

Northumberland Golf Club was founded in 1898 and is a leading championship private members golf club in the North-East of England.
We are seeking a Head Chef to join our food & beverage team.
You will work under the direction of the House Manager, supporting them in the delivery of a first-class food operation.
5 days over 7 (including weekends). No split shifts, predominantly daytime hours.
Your principal responsibilities will include:
Managing the kitchen team
Health & safety compliance
Menu design, planning & costing
Stock control
Food preparation & service
The person we are looking for will:
Be passionate about their food
Have the ability to work individually and as part of a team
Be able to plan and prepare meals with special dietary requirements
Have the ability to maintain high levels of hygiene within the kitchen
Be self-motivated and have good inter-personal skills
Have good time management and a positive can-do attitude
Qualifications (ideal but not essential):
Food hygiene certificate
City and Guilds Professional Cookery (7100)
Driving licence

This is a full-time, average 40-hour pw, permanent position.

The successful candidate would be expected to work on a rota basis, including work on weekends and bank holidays.
