You’ll take ownership of core financial processes such as impairment testing and policy alignment, manage audit deliverables with external auditors, and lead key integration initiatives to elevate financial consistency and compliance across regions. This role will suit a 2nd mover out of practice, ideally with a strong technical accounting background with experience applying IFRS, especially IAS 36.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead store impairment reviews and own other high-impact accounting projects, including policy alignment and process improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with global finance teams and support the delivery of critical outputs, including financial disclosures and performance insights.
  • Design and deliver engaging financial training sessions to raise accounting standards group-wide.
  • Be the go-to for component audit queries, acting as a key liaison with external audit teams and internal stakeholders.
  • Operate and monitor key controls across global finance processes, driving compliance and governance maturity.
  • Analyse large-scale P&L and balance sheet data at store and regional level to inform accounting decisions.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of the group internal controls framework ensuring smooth operation and testing.
  • Partner with other group finance teams including Reporting, FP&A, Finance Transformation and Internal Controls to deliver collective outcomes.

What You’ll Need

  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified with 3+ years post-qualified experience
  • Strong technical accounting background with experience applying IFRS, especially IAS 36
  • Hands-on experience managing or contributing to group audit processes, ideally across multiple territories
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to work with complex data sets and translate into clear insights
  • Excellent communicator who can influence, coach and collaborate across senior stakeholders
  • Process-driven with a passion for driving change, consistency and best practice
  • Resilient, organised, and thrives in a fast-moving environment

What’s In It For You?

  • Join a major global retail group at the heart of a finance transformation journey
  • Drive genuine impact and influence how finance operates across international regions
  • Hybrid working and flexible hours
  • Broad exposure across technical finance, controls, audit, and transformation
  • Autonomy to lead on key projects with high visibility across the group
