Key Duties:
The Maintenance Technician will work closely with the Senior Maintenance Engineer to ensure the optimal functioning of machinery and equipment in our manufacturing site.
The primary focus of this role is to support machine breakdowns & repairs, handle routine preventive maintenance, support in analysing machine data, and assist in various proactive initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
The Maintenance Technician will also be responsible for managing specific tasks related to safety protocols, spares management, routine inspections, machinery breakdown troubleshooting, and possess the following qualifications.
Key Skills, Experience & Qualifications Required:
Time-served multi-skilled Technician, with either electrical or mechanical bias considered acceptable.
Proficient in mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical fault-finding skills.
Good I.T. skills, with the ability to use relevant maintenance management systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with factory staff and management.
Flexible approach to work to meet production demands.
Strong safety ethos with experience in implementing safe systems of work.
Desirable but not essential: PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) experience.
Desirable but not essential: Robotics experience.
Desirable but not essential: CNC and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) experience.
Desirable but not essential: Experience in facilities maintenance.
The Package:
£35,000 per annum.
Day shift working hours, Monday-Friday with flexible/start finish times if needed.
