CNC Turner Programmer Setter Operator

Trident Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Turner / Programmer Setter Operator to join an established precision engineering company based in Larkhall.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Turner looking for a permanent night shift working Monday to Thursday, giving you a three-day weekend every week.

The Role

As a CNC Turner, you will be responsible for:

* Programming, setting and operating CNC lathes

* Programming using Fanuc controls

* Producing precision-engineered components to tight tolerances

* Programming directly at the machine

* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings

* Selecting tooling and carrying out tool changes and offsets

* Inspecting your own components using appropriate measuring equipment

* Working independently during the night shift

* Maintaining consistently high standards of quality and productivity

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

* Strong experience as a CNC Turner

* Previous Fanuc programming experience

* Ability to program, set and operate CNC turning machines

* Experience working within a precision engineering environment

* Ability to work from engineering drawings

* Confident use of micrometers, verniers and other inspection equipment

* Ability to work independently

Shift & Pay

Permanent Night Shift – Monday to Thursday

Base rate: Up to £21.00 per hour, depending on experience
Night shift allowance: x1.3

At the maximum £21.00 base rate, the shift allowance takes the effective hourly rate to approximately £27.30 per hour.
