Responsibilities:
Leading on technical solutions for complex mechanical design challenges.
Conducting detailed design and stress analysis of pressure vessels and structures, overseeing and implementing engineering design changes.
Preparing comprehensive technical documentation in compliance with design codes and pressure equipment regulations.
Delivering mechanical engineering system design solutions, while reviewing and approving engineering drawings and specifications.
Collaborating with relevant classification 3rd parties to strategise and secure design approvals.
Providing supervision to design engineers and actively participating in design reviews.
Ensuring customer satisfaction by effectively liaising with both internal and external stakeholders to meet requirements.
Skills and Experience Required for the Senior Mechanical Engineer role:
Proficiency in Pressure Vessel design utilizing PD5500, ASME VIII, and EN 13445 standards.
Experience in both design by analysis and design by rule methods.
Competence in utilizing ANSYS Workbench for pressure vessel analysis.
Familiarity with MathCAD, Finglow, and Solidworks.
Knowledge of Class Society Rules pertaining to Diving, Ship’s, and Lifting Appliances.
Experience in a Pressure Vessel engineering role.
Experience with PLM systems for generating and storing engineering packages.
