Role Overview
As an Applications Engineer you will be pivotal in bringing together state of the art sub-systems (computer, vision, audio, motion, and driver) used in our world class driver-in-the-loop simulators.
You will also be integral to the assembly, commissioning, testing, and servicing of the systems on-site.
What will you be doing?
Work on cutting-edge computer and graphical systems on world leading, award-winning, automotive simulators.
Implement multi-projector, simulation-grade vision systems, professional-quality audio systems, high end IT systems including PC components and networking equipment.
Quality-check and approve simulators before release to customer.
Assist with customer support for aftersales.
This role has the possibility of travel to international customer installations to commission and service our systems.
What are we looking for?
Knowledge of high end PC systems down to component level.
Experience of software and firmware configuration.
Ability to work with complex systems to high standards in a methodical and repeatable manner.
Communicate clearly and concisely.
Be a fast and critical thinker, motivated by finding solutions to problems.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
