Van Sales

The Van Sales Representative will be responsible for selling and distributing a range of food products to customers across the Retail and Foodservice sectors. The role focuses on driving sales growth, developing strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring excellent customer service standards.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

• Develop sales within the Retail and Foodservice sectors across the assigned region.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
• Achieve sales and return targets in line with company objectives.
• Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base.
• Monitor sales trends, competitor activity, and market developments.
• Support promotional activities and new product launches.
• Provide regular feedback to management regarding customer needs and market opportunities.

Customer Service & Account Management

• Deliver excellent customer service and resolve customer issues effectively.
• Maintain strong relationships with key customers to maximise sales opportunities.
• Manage customer accounts and support business growth.
• Ensure effective merchandising and shelf space management.
• Maintain high standards of product presentation and availability.

Team Support & Communication

• Support the training and development of new Van Sales Representatives when required.
• Communicate key updates and market information to the Field Sales Representative.
• Attend regular team meetings and contribute to sales objectives.

Compliance & Standards

• Follow company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements.
• Maintain professional standards when representing the business.

Key Performance Goals

• Achieve sales and margin targets.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Secure new business opportunities.
• Manage KPIs including margin performance, sales growth, product range, and promotional activity.

Skills & Experience

• Experience in field sales.
• Previous FMCG experience.
• Proven ability to achieve sales targets.
• Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organisational and planning abilities.
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to motivate and influence others.
• Full clean driving licence.
• Team management or coaching experience.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Understanding of food industry trends and customer behaviour.
• Proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills.
