The roleYou’ll play a key role in supporting ANS’s core infrastructure, helping to keep our platforms highly available, secure, and performing at their best for our customers.The roleYou’ll play a key role in supporting ANS’s core infrastructure, helping to keep our platforms highly available, secure, and performing at their best for our customers.You’ll act as an escalation point for the wider engineering team, getting involved in more complex issues and building out your expertise across our platform.Working closely with the infrastructure team, you’ll support patching, firmware upgrades, and proactive maintenance to keep everything up to date. You’ll also collaborate with vendors across our stack to ensure smooth integration and ongoing support.What will I be doing?Act as a 3rd line escalation point for the eCloud platform, supporting the wider team in resolving complex issuesProactively monitor systems, identifying and addressing performance or stability issues before they impact customersWork closely with other technical teams to deliver a high-quality support experience across our platformsTake ownership of escalations with vendors, driving issues through to resolutionEnsure platform stability and security through regular patching, firmware upgrades, and system maintenanceSupport capacity planning and help prepare the platform for future growthCarry out platform audits and health checks to maintain performance and complianceCreate and maintain clear, high-quality technical documentation and processesBuild strong working relationships across technical and commercial teamsSupport change, incident management, and CAB processes in line with ANS standardsAssist senior platform engineers with the delivery of platform improvements and infrastructure changesOccasionally support out-of-hours work for critical updates or platform changesWhat will I bring to the role?Previous experience as an infrastructure engineer working in an enterprise or multi-tenant environmentExperience with VMware 7 and aboveExperience With SAN Storage Technologies (3par, Nimble, Netapp, Dell Compellent) is idealUnderstanding of fundamental computer architecture, networking, virtualisation, storage, and operating system conceptsPrevious experience using backups technologies and disaster recoveryStrong Troubleshooting and Diagnostic skillsOperational Experience with NSX 3.0+ DesirableAbility to produce good quality documentationScripting abilities in Powershell and PowerCLIExposure to Cisco UCSWillingness to do on callEligibilty for HMG Security Clearance
