Engineering Manager / Hard Services Manager Facilities ManagementLocation: LondonSalary: Competitive / dependent on experienceSector: Building Services / Facilities ManagementWere looking for an experienced Engineering Manager / Hard Services Manager to lead the delivery of building engineering and maintenance services within a high-profile FM environment.This is a role for someone who can genuinely understand and manage M&E building services, while also leading teams, contractors and client relationships.The RoleYoull be responsible for ensuring the engineering operation is safe, compliant, well managed and commercially effective.Key responsibilities include:Leading the engineering and hard-services function.Managing engineers, supervisors and specialist contractors.Overseeing PPM and reactive maintenance delivery.Managing M&E, electrical, mechanical and HVAC systems.Ensuring statutory compliance and planned maintenance requirements are met.Monitoring engineering performance, KPIs and SLAs.Managing contractor and subcontractor performance.Supporting budgets, procurement and cost control.Working closely with the client and wider FM management team.Identifying opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency and service quality.Supporting projects, lifecycle works and technical initiatives.About YouThe ideal candidate will come from an engineering or building services background and have experience managing hard FM operations.Wed consider candidates who are:Engineering Managers.Hard Services Managers.Building Services Managers.Technical Services Managers.Senior Facilities Managers with a strong M&E background.Experienced Contract Managers who have managed substantial hard-services contracts.You should have a strong understanding of M&E systems, maintenance, compliance and engineering operations, together with the leadership skills required to manage teams and client expectations.Formal engineering qualifications are preferred, but strong practical experience managing hard services will be considered.If youre an experienced FM professional who understands engineering and wants a role with genuine operational responsibility, wed be keen to hear from you.JBRP1_UKTJ
