Quality Engineer

JOB- Quality Engineer LOCATION- SloughTERM- PermanentSALARY- £42,000-£50,000 plus other benefits My client is looking for a Quality Engineer to join their business on a permanent basis in the Slough area. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding and passionate about Lean Manufacturing and will be mainly responsible for improving quality of the companys operational processes and outputThe Quality Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:Degree qualified or experience working in similar role2 years experience in Manufacturing EnvironmentSelf-motivated individualRight first time approachAbility to work calmly under pressureThe Quality Engineer role will involve:Drive standardisation on processes along with waste elimination and continuous improvementSupport 8D activities on parts connected to internal or supplier quality concernsWorking on NPI products and supplier quality development, implementing new processesDevelop and maintain quality assurance throughout product development cycle for NPIResponsible for control plans and QA associated to manufacturing processes which are outsourcedCollating material compliance data, report writing where necessaryResolve customer issues in a timely mannerChampion problem solving with use of RCA tools such as 8D, 5WHY, ISHIKAWA, FMEA'sHandle internal & external auditsMonitor supplier performance, define process parameter to ensure process capabilityMonitor output, quality & scrap rates.
