Location: Preston

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 + Bonus Scheme

Hours: Monday to Friday (approx. 8:00am - 4:00pm)

Our client is an established and growing supplier within the equipment hire sector, providing solutions to customers throughout the UK. Due to continued growth and future investment plans, they are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to take ownership of a key operational function and support the next stage of the company's development.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual who enjoys a varied role combining operations, customer service, and commercial responsibilities. The Role

As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running, acting as the central point of contact for customers while managing the hire process from enquiry through to invoicing.

This is a hands-on role combining operations, customer service, and sales responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Managing the day-to-day operations.

Handling incoming customer enquiries via phone and email.

Generating and following up quotations.

Coordinating the hire and off-hire process of related equipment.

Scheduling deliveries and collections with operatives.

Ordering components and materials as required.

Building strong relationships with customers and providing excellent service.

Chasing outstanding quotations and converting enquiries into business.

Preparing and issuing sales invoices using company software.

Identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes, and branch efficiency.

Supporting the ongoing growth and development of the business.

Meeting customers and developing long-term commercial relationships.
