PRODUCT MANAGER - SENDBARNSLEYUP TO £45,000 + COMPANY CAR + BENEFITSTHE OPPORTUNITY:Get Recruited are working exclusively with a reputable and growing business who are looking for a Product Manager with strong knowledge and practical experience of SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) to help shape and improve software products used by organisations across the public sector.You'll work closely with customers, developers, and senior stakeholders to understand the challenges faced by users across SEND, education and local authority environments, identify opportunities for improvement, and turn customer needs into valuable product solutions.For this role, strong SEND sector knowledge and practical experience is the key priority. Previous Product Management experience or formal Product Management training would be advantageous but isn't essential. The business can provide support, coaching and training around its internal product processes and business case development for someone who brings the right SEND expertise and stakeholder experience.This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong SEND background who has experience working with customers and stakeholders to identify needs, improve services or develop solutions. You may already have Product Management experience, or you could be looking to bring your SEND expertise into a product-focused role.THE ROLE:Manage and contribute to the full product lifecycle, from research and planning through to delivery and continuous improvementUse your SEND knowledge and experience to help shape products that address genuine customer and user challengesEngage with customers, local authorities and other stakeholders to understand their processes, challenges and requirementsGather and analyse user feedback to identify opportunities for product enhancements and new solutionsTranslate customer requirements and complex business processes into clear product opportunitiesDevelop business cases for new product features and improvements, with support and training provided where requiredWrite clear user stories, requirements and acceptance criteria for development teamsWork closely with designers, developers and testers to ensure successful product deliveryHelp prioritise features and maintain an organised product backlogReview product performance and user feedback to inform future developmentSupport product roadmap planning and communicate upcoming changes and improvementsStay informed about developments, legislation, policy and regulatory requirements relating to SEND, education, local authorities and the wider sectorTHE PERSON:Must have strong SEND sector knowledge and practical experienceStrong understanding of the challenges and opportunities within SEND, education, local authorities or closely related environmentsExperience working with customers, service users and/or stakeholders to understand needs, challenges and develop appropriate solutionsStrong communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to work across multiple stakeholder groupsAbility to understand complex processes and translate customer requirements into practical solutions and product opportunitiesA proactive and innovative mindset, with the confidence to challenge existing approaches and bring forward new ideasStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesPrevious Product Manager, Product Owner, Senior Business Analyst or similar product-focused experience would be highly advantageous, but isn't essentialProduct Management qualifications or formal training would be advantageousExperience developing business cases would be desirable, although training and support can be providedWillingness to travel occasionally to meet customersBy sending an application or applying for a job, you consent to your personal data being processed and stored by Get Recruited (UK) Ltd in accordance with our Cookie & Privacy Policy (available in the footer on our website).
