About Us

Echo Managed Services and its subsidiary Aptumo support water companies globally to deliver effective customer service and drive retail operation efficiency through end to end customer service and water billing software offerings.

The Role

At Echo Managed Services, part of the South Staffordshire Group, we're helping utilities organisations transform how they serve customers through smarter technology, better experiences and modern digital solutions.

At the heart of our offering is Aptumo, our cloud-native billing platform that's enabling utilities businesses to modernise, scale and adapt in an evolving market.

We're looking for an experienced Programme Manager to lead the successful delivery of complex client implementations and strategic change programmes. You’ll be responsible for leading large-scale, multi-workstream programmes focused on the implementation, enhancement and optimisation of the Aptumo platform for our clients.

You’ll work closely with customers, technical teams, delivery specialists and senior stakeholders to ensure programmes are delivered successfully, on time and within budget.

This is a high-profile role with significant influence across the business, offering the opportunity to shape delivery excellence, build capability, and play a key part in our continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of Workstream Leads, fostering a high-performing and delivery-focused culture.
  • Own programme governance, including steering groups, reporting, RAID management, dependency tracking and change control.
  • Build trusted relationships with customers and act as the senior point of escalation throughout programme delivery.
  • Establish and maintain integrated delivery plans across multiple workstreams and stakeholder groups.
  • Manage programme budgets, forecasting, commercial controls and financial reporting.
  • Monitor and analyse programme performance using KPIs, dashboards and delivery metrics.
  • Provide clear, data-driven insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
  • Drive collaboration across technical, operational and business teams.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve delivery effectiveness and introduce best practice.
  • Define programme success measures and ensure teams remain aligned to key outcomes.
  • Ensure delivery quality, customer satisfaction and commercial objectives are achieved.

What You’ll Need

You’ll be an experienced programme leader with a proven track record of delivering complex technology or transformation programmes in fast-paced environments.

We're particularly interested in candidates who can combine strong delivery discipline with excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills.

Essential Experience

  • Significant experience managing large, complex programmes within SaaS, cloud-based or technology-led environments.
  • Strong Salesforce programme or implementation experience.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and multiple workstreams.
  • Strong knowledge of programme governance, risk management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience managing budgets, forecasts and commercial performance.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and customers.
  • Strong understanding of software delivery lifecycles, DevOps practices and IT operations.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the confidence to challenge constructively and drive improvement.

Desirable experience

  • Utilities sector experience.
  • Experience working with billing, customer management or revenue platforms.
  • Knowledge of Aptumo or similar utility billing solutions.

What You’ll Get

  • Family-Friendly Leave: Enhanced Maternity, Adoption, Paternity & Shared Parental Leave, Fertility Support, and up to 5 paid Carer’s Days
  • Financial & Life Assurance: Company Pension Scheme with salary sacrifice options
  • Health & Wellbeing: Employee Assistance Programme and 24/7 Virtual GP access for you and your dependents
  • Lifestyle & Perks: Cycle to Work Scheme and My Premier Benefits discounts, cashback, and vouchers
  • Professional Development: Hands-on training and ongoing career development opportunities
  • Inclusion & Belonging: Active People Networks – Disability & Neurodiversity, Unity+, Women’s Network, Parent & Carer Networking Group and more
  • Performance & Recognition: Annual salary review, Reward & Recognition Scheme, and Long Service Awards.

At South Staffordshire Limited, inclusion matters. We have a wide range of employee networks which are employee-led communities that bring our people together, support different perspectives and create a strong sense of belonging. Our people are encouraged to get involved as members or allies.

We are committed to building a team that reflects the diversity of the communities we serve.

We warmly welcome applications from candidates of all backgrounds, including all genders, ethnicity, sexual orientations, and physical and neurodiverse abilities.

We are happy to discuss reasonable adjustments and encourage you to let us know how we can best support you throughout the recruitment process.
