* Work closely with electrical, controls and manufacturing engineers
* Have the opportunity to interact directly with customers throughout projects
* Travel internationally when required, visiting customer sites and production facilities
* See the machinery you’ve designed built, installed and operating in real-world production environments
The Person
We’re looking for someone with:
* A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline
* We feel this would suit someone with 1 to 3 years’ mechanical design experience within industry
* Ideally experience using SolidWorks
* A strong understanding of electromechanical machinery, equipment or automated systems
* Good mechanical engineering fundamentals and problem-solving skills
* The ambition to develop, take on more responsibility and progress as a Design Engineer
Experience within automation, special-purpose machinery, manufacturing equipment or electromechanical systems would be particularly attractive.
What’s On Offer
* £32,000 – £38,000 salary DOE
* Excellent opportunity to develop within bespoke machinery and automation
* Wider involvement across complete engineering projects
* Customer interaction and international travel opportunities
* Training and support from experienced engineers
* Genuine opportunity to take on increasing project and design responsibility
