The Role
As a Power System Developer , you will be working in an agile team leading on the development of analytical tools focusing on power system automation, optimization, and network modelling against the background of changing generation sources.
Key responsibilities:
Perform the analysis, design, and optimization of power systems.
Use mathematical models, software tools, and engineering principles to solve power generation, transmission, distribution, and utilization problems.
Develop and test components.
Communicate effectively, apply problem solving skills and leverage your project management expertise.
Your Profile
Key Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
Expertise in power system modelling and simulation (including stability) in Digsilent (powerfactory) and its Python API.
Expertise in convex and mixed integer optimization and mathematical modelling with special focus on power system techno-economic assessment.
Expertise in Python programming and use cases in power system modelling and optimization.
Work experience in using Git and version control.
Effective communication skills, problem-solving capabilities, and project management expertise.
Good knowledge of heuristic techniques to optimize network assets.
Experience with signal processing in Python.
Strong knowledge on interpreting transmission system operation standards, codes, policy, and procedures.
Good knowledge of power system economics, data analytics, and visualization in Python.
Good exposure working in DevSecOps delivery model.
