Job Description

I’m seeking a CMM Inspector to join a company based in Leeds to work on an afternoon shift.

This company delivers high performance precision engineering solutions to the healthcare / aerospace sector. They specialise in manufacturing complex components, prototypes and production surgical instruments for medical procedures.

Job Title: CMM Inspector

Location: Leeds (Please note - relocating to Castleford with 6 – 12 months)

Salary: £42,000.00 + Shift allowance

Hours: Mon – Thurs 3pm – 11pm & Fri 2pm – 10pm

Contract: Permanent

You must have knowledge and experience of CMM operations and inspection processes

As a hands on Inspector, you are required to interpret technical drawings and specifications and use a variety of inspection tools to identify and resolve quality issues. You’ll be reporting directly to the QA / RA Manager. The ideal candidate should be able to coordinate and plan their workload to meet daily demands of the business.

Responsibilities:

* Inspect manufactured parts using both CMM and manual techniques

* Produce inspection reports

* Maintain quality systems

* Mentor and train new employees and apprentices to be fully competent in inspection processes

* Lead or contribute to Continuous Improvements activities

* Calibration of equipment

* Maintain and enhance HSE

* Create, support and assist to improve work instructions and procedures within the quality management system

To be considered:

* Proven experience as a CMM Inspector ideally in a precision environment

* Solid understanding of CMM operation and practices

* Knowledge of Quality documentation and inspection reports

* Skilled in using a wide range of manual measurement tools

* Competent in using Microsoft Office and ERP QMS systems
