Design Engineer

Job Description

An excellent opportunity for a Design Engineer to join a leading specialist engineering business, delivering temporary works solutions across major infrastructure and construction projects throughout the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Production of customer design schemes and drawings on a day-to-day basis to satisfy customer demand
  • Checking own designs and drawings in line with company quality procedures
  • Checking other team members designs and drawings
  • To produce one-off project work as directed by the Engineering Manager or Senior Engineers
  • Self-management of allocated workload to meet customer / business demand
  • Working within a region and developing relationships within that region
  • Contribute to the smooth and effective operation of the design department

Key Requirements

  • Degree or recognised qualification in Civil Engineering or a similar discipline
  • Minimum of 3 years' construction industry experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office packages
