The Role
Our Backend Developers will deliver exceptional exceptional software solutions, which are secure, appropriately tested, perform well and help provide engaging customer experience. The Developer is accountable for providing exceptional software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the following; however, this is not an exhaustive list, and you may be required to carry out other duties that the business deem fit.
You'll be passionate about people, keen to lead and manage to support the development of colleagues and drive the delivery of projects.
Working with lots of different technologies, you'll use and learn about various frameworks, tools and languages focussing on microservice architecture.
You'll be architecting and shaping solutions where you can apply your skills, building new application that deliver direct value to real customers.
You'll see and learn about many aspects of the business as you develop web-based solutions for our customer's data analytics service. You'll be encouraged and supported to grow your technical skills to deliver brilliant products.
You'll be keeping up to date with the latest advancements in technology with one ear to the ground, picking up stuff that could aid your working process.
Share your expertise with other team members and be eager to learn from them as well.
Maintain a positive attitude, demonstrate a willingness to learn, and contribute to a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
Key Skills and Abilities
Demonstrable experience as a Java Developer.
Knowledge of core Java language.
Knowledge of AWS
Programming skills in designing and implementation of multi-tier applications using web-based technologies.
Knowledge of Python
Experienced in logging frameworks and application monitoring.
An understanding of developing applications with SOAP or RESTful Web Services.
Awareness of Agile principles.
Experience of building new code services from scratch
