Job Description

Job Title: Production Planner

Location: Runcorn, Cheshire

Salary: Up to £38,000 per annum

Contract: Permanent, full-time

About the Role

We're recruiting for an experienced Production Planner to join a well-established FMCG manufacturer at their Runcorn site. This is a permanent, fully on-site role within a small, close-knit planning team, working alongside a Planning Supervisor and collaborating closely with Material Planners based internationally.

If you've got hands-on production planning or scheduling experience and you're looking for a stable, Monday-to-Friday role with no shift work and no weekends, this is worth a conversation.

What's in it for you

  • Fixed daytime hours: Monday-Thursday 8:30am-5:00pm, Friday 8:30am-4:00pm - no shifts, no weekends
  • Genuinely permanent role in a stable, established manufacturing business
  • Matched pension scheme (4-10%)
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Perkbox employee benefits platform
  • Join a small, supportive team of four

The Role

  • Own and manage day-to-day production planning and scheduling across the site
  • Work closely with Material Planners to ensure smooth, joined-up supply into production
  • Coordinate across supply chain and production functions to keep output on track and issues resolved quickly
  • Support a fast-paced, cross-functional manufacturing environment

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in a production planning or scheduling role, ideally within FMCG, pharma, or a similarly regulated/fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Confident working with ERP/MRP systems (SAP experience desirable but not essential)
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Comfortable working within an international, cross-functional team
  • Full right to work in the UK (this role is not able to offer visa sponsorship)
  • Based within a commutable distance of Runcorn (Cheshire, South Lancashire, Manchester, or Merseyside)
