Our client are leaders within their field, due to an ever increasing order book, they are looking to add an experienced Quality Inspector to join their established team.
The role of the Mechanical Quality Inspector is to ensure that all products meet the quality requirements of the customer and the organisation. This position reports directly to the Chief Inspector. As a hands-on inspector, you will be responsible for executing general inspection functions both visual and dimensional, including correctly and properly using mechanical measuring devices and reporting results.
The Main responsibilities will include:
Perform complete inspections to engineering drawings.
· Conduct measurements such as length, height, and distance, using precision instruments such as micrometres, vernier calipers, dial test indicators, Faro arm and coordinate measuring machine.
· Locate datum’s on parts and measure dimensions such as angle, arc and radii using a combination of aids such as parallel bars, gauge blocks, v blocks, sine bars and precision measuring instruments such as a digital height gauge.
· Visually compare work pieces against one another to assess in process manufacturing variations.
· Report quality problems or findings to the chief inspector and follow up to ensure corrective acti...
