Our client is a well-established and growing construction and property reinstatement business operating throughout South Wales. They are seeking an experienced Construction Performance Manager to join their growing team and oversee the operational performance of multiple live refurbishment and insurance reinstatement projects.

The Role
Reporting directly to senior management, you will take responsibility for monitoring and improving the performance of a portfolio of live projects across South Wales.
You will work closely with project teams, site supervisors, subcontractors, clients, surveyors, loss adjusters, and insurers to ensure projects are progressing as planned and any issues are identified and addressed quickly.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the performance of multiple live refurbishment and insurance reinstatement projects.
Monitor project progress against programme, budget, quality standards, and completion dates.
Identify delays, risks, and performance issues, implementing recovery plans where required.
Conduct regular site inspections to assess productivity, quality, housekeeping, and compliance.
Ensure labour, subcontractors, materials, and specialist resources are effectively planned and coordinated.
Monitor procurement schedules and manage risks associated with long lead-time materials.
Review project programmes and verify that reported progress accurately reflects site activity.
Ensure variations, omissions, and additional works are identified, recorded, and authorised correctly.
Support commercial activities including cost control, valuations, and recovery of variation costs.
Liaise professionally with policyholders, insurers, surveyors, contract administrators, and loss adjusters.
Lead progress meetings, performance reviews, project recovery meetings, and completion reviews.
Oversee snagging, defect resolution, project completion, and handover processes.
Produce weekly and monthly performance reports for senior management.
Support and develop project managers, supervisors, coordinators, and operational staff.
Drive a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and right-first-time delivery.
About You
The right candidate will have:
Strong experience within construction, refurbishment, repairs, maintenance, or insurance reinstatement.
Experience managing or overseeing multiple live projects simultaneously.
Excellent understanding of project programming, labour planning, procurement, and subcontractor management.
Strong commercial awareness, including variations, valuations, and cost control.
Proven ability to identify project risks and implement corrective actions.
Experience monitoring project quality, snagging, and handover procedures.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to challenge and improve performance constructively.
Good IT skills including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Teams, and project management software.
Full UK Driving Licence.
