Multi-Skilled Engineer

Multi-Skilled Engineer Fresh People are recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Engineer for a well-established fresh produce business based in the Tonbridge area of Kent. This is a permanent, Monday to Friday engineering position offering a salary of £50,000 £55,000 depending on experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance across a busy fresh produce operation, helping to maintain machinery, equipment and site reliability. The Role Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults across site machinery and equipment Support the reliability and performance of production and packing equipment Complete electrical maintenance and repair work in line with current regulations Carry out mechanical repairs including motors, bearings, pumps, drives and associated equipment Identify recurring faults and support continuous improvement initiatives Work closely with production and operational teams to minimise downtime Ensure all engineering work is completed safely and efficiently Maintain accurate maintenance and engineering records Support wider site engineering and maintenance requirements as required The Person Previous engineering experience within the fresh produce industry is essential Experience working as a Multi-Skilled Engineer, Maintenance Engineer or similar Strong electrical and mechanical engineering knowledge Professional qualifications in electrical and/or mechanical engineering 18th Edition electrical qualification is essential Confident fault finding across both electrical and mechanical systems Experience carrying out planned and reactive maintenance in a fast-paced production environment Able to work independently and take ownership of engineering issues Strong problem-solving skills with a practical, hands-on approach Hours Monday to Friday, 8:00am 5:00pm If you have the required fresh produce engineering experience and would like to be considered for this opportunity, please apply today by sending your CV to Fresh People for consideration.
