Job Title: Wintel EngineerJob Location: Watford, UKJob Type: Contract/FTC (6 months initially)Job Description:Roles and Responsibilities of the Wintel engineerSOTi Endpoint Management: Lead the remote design, build, and optimization of Windows 11 and Android (handheld) images and deployment profiles using modern management tools.3rd-Line Escalation: Act as a senior technical point for complex Windows-related issues, performing deep-dive root cause analysis from an offshore location.Global Server & Client Builds: Standardise and automate Windows Server and client builds, ensuring parity across all environments.Rigorous Change Management: Navigate and strictly adhere to formal change management processes to ensure zero-impact deployments.Active Directory & GPO: Remotely manage and audit Active Directory (AD) and Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to maintain a secure user environment.Security Patching: Execute the end-to-end patching lifecycle for Windows endpoints and servers, ensuring 100% compliance across the estate.Collaborative Documentation: Maintain precise technical runbooks and architecture diagrams in Confluence and track all deliverables in JIRA.
