Job Description

CNC Programmer / Engineering Trainer

Location: Walsall, West Midlands

Salary: £29,500 – £32,000

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

Are you an experienced CNC Programmer / Machinist looking for a new direction?

We are working with an established engineering training provider in Aldridge who is looking for a CNC professional to move into a Trainer / Assessor position, developing apprentices in CNC machining and programming.

You don't need previous teaching experience. Full training can be provided, including funded teaching and assessor qualifications.

The Role

You'll use your industry experience to deliver practical workshop and classroom-based training in CNC programming, milling and turning.

You'll demonstrate CNC programming, setting and operating, support apprentices with their practical skills and assess their progress throughout their programme.

What We're Looking For

  • Level 3 Engineering / Manufacturing qualification or equivalent
  • Strong CNC programming, setting and operating experience
  • Experience with Fanuc and Siemens controls
  • CNC milling and/or turning knowledge
  • GCSE Maths & English Grade 4/C or equivalent

CAD/CAM experience would be advantageous but isn't essential.

You could currently be working as a CNC Programmer, CNC Machinist, CNC Miller, CNC Turner, CNC Setter/Operator or Manufacturing Engineer.

What's on Offer

£29,500 – £32,000, permanent employment, fully funded teaching and assessor qualifications, pension contributions, ongoing CPD, health & wellbeing support and access to modern CNC workshop facilities.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC professional looking to move away from production and into engineering training, while continuing to use their technical skills
