They are looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join their engineering team and contribute to the development of embedded software across a range of technically challenging applications.
This is an opportunity to work across the full embedded software lifecycle, from architecture and interface definition through to implementation, automated testing, integration and release.
The Role
As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing and delivering robust, deterministic embedded software across a range of platforms.
You will work closely with engineers across the wider organisation to define software architectures, develop interfaces and build highly reliable systems suitable for demanding and potentially safety-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities
* Define embedded software architectures in collaboration with the wider engineering team
* Develop high-performance, deterministic and well-tested embedded software
* Define interfaces between software components, including APIs and communications protocols
* Develop and improve continuous integration, automated testing and software release infrastructure
* Support the development of software towards formal accreditation and certification
* Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from initial concept and prototyping through to deployment
About You
We're looking for an experienced embedded software engineer with strong technical foundations and a passion for solving complex engineering problems.
Essential Experience
* Strong embedded C/C++ and/or Rust development skills
* Experience developing software for safety-critical or highly regulated systems, such as aerospace, automotive, medical or similar environments
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
* You must be able to gain a UK SC Clearance in order to undertake this role
Desirable Experience
Experience with any of the following would be highly advantageous:
