We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing support and guidance for adults with learning disabilities within a day centre environment, This role involves mentoring, assisting with daily activities, and creating a positive environment that encourages growth and independence. The position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you support, working within a supportive and professional environment.

This position also requires chaperone duty on the transport.

candidates require a FULL uk driving licence with D1 entitlement which entitles you to drive 17 seat mini bus

Responsibilities

• * Provide personalised support to adults with learning disabilities ensuring their individual needs are met with empathy and understanding
• * Assist with daily routines, including educational activities, leisure pursuits, and personal care when necessary
• * Mentor and motivate individuals to develop confidence, social skills, and independence
• * Support behavioural management strategies in line with organisational policies
• * Collaborate with colleagues, families, and external professionals to deliver cohesive support plans
• * Facilitate engaging activities that promote learning, creativity, and social interaction
• * Maintain accurate records of support provided and progress made
• * Promote a safe environment by adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times
