Information Technology Support Engineer

Job Description

London - Fully onsite

We're working with an established business based in Central London who are looking to add an IT Support Engineer to their internal IT team. This is a broad, hands-on role covering everything from day-to-day user support through to systems, infrastructure and networking. You'll be working closely with the Head of IT and will have the opportunity to get involved across a varied technical environment.

What you'll be doing:

  • Providing 1st/2nd Line IT support to users across the business
  • Troubleshooting hardware, software, network and system issues and supporting Microsoft 365, Windows and Active Directory
  • Managing user accounts, access and permissions
  • Setting up and maintaining laptops, mobile devices and other hardware
  • Supporting meeting rooms, Teams, Zoom and other collaboration tools
  • Assisting with servers, virtualisation and cloud technologies
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting network and infrastructure issues
  • Supporting general IT administration and maintaining documentation
  • Getting involved in upgrades, migrations and wider IT projects
  • Helping improve internal IT processes and the overall user experience

What they're looking for:

  • Previous experience in an IT Support / Infrastructure role
  • Strong Windows and Microsoft 365 knowledge
  • Experience with Active Directory and user administration
  • Good understanding of networking and infrastructure
  • Comfortable troubleshooting issues independently and seeing them through to resolution
  • Strong communication skills and a good customer-focused approach
  • Someone who enjoys being hands-on and getting involved across different areas of IT

Experience with Macs, Cisco Meraki, firewalls, server migrations or AD Connect would be useful, but isn't essential. This would suit someone who enjoys being a generalist, wants exposure across both support and infrastructure, and is looking for a role where no two days are quite the same.
