You will leverage your expertise to contribute to the software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and implementation to testing and deployment. You will collaborate with team members and cross-functional partners to deliver scalable, reliable, and efficient software products that meet the needs of our users and business objectives.

Duties/ResponsibilitiesSoftware Development: Contribute to the development, support, and quality assurance efforts of our technology products that power our platforms and services. Utilise automated testing extensively to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the services.Technical Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation and guides, ensuring they are up to date, accurate, and easy to understand for both internal teams and external stakeholders.Product Releases and Deployments: Support product releases and deployments, working with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth and successful releases into production environments.Data Analysis: Analyse datasets for accuracy and logical values, leveraging your analytical skills to ensure data integrity and contribute to insights that drive decision-making and product improvements.Code Review and Quality Assurance: Participate in code reviews, identify areas for improvement, and ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and quality metrics.AI Tools and Practices: Leverage AI-assisted development tools to enhance productivity, code quality, and solution innovation. Stay informed about ways AI can support software engineering and delivery.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, implement technical solutions, and deliver high-quality software products on time.Problem Solving and Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve technical issues, troubleshoot production incidents, and implement solutions to minimise system downtime and ensure service reliability.Continuous Learning and Innovation: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software engineering, and apply this knowledge to improve development processes and methodologies.Education And/or ExperienceBachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience) required; advanced degree preferred5+ years of experience in software development with a strong proficiency in one or more programming languages, including JavaExperience with automated testing frameworks and methodologies for backend servicesExperience contributing to epics and participating in technical direction and implementation strategy for projectsExperience with CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) pipelines and tools, automating build, test, and deployment processesExperience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)Experience with SQL including the ability to write complex queries and optimise database performanceExperience in financial services a plusRequired Skills/AbilitiesAbility to troubleshoot production systems, diagnose issues, and implement effective solutions to ensure system reliability and availabilityStrong problem-solving abilities, analytical thinking, and attention to detailEffective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and contribute to technical discussionsKnowledge of Agile software development methodologies and tools (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Jira)Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a hybrid, office environment 2 days per week.Rewards and BenefitsWe offer a robust package of employee perks and benefits, including a market-leading salary with an annual bonus, 28 days of annual leave plus 10 Northern Ireland national holidays, a training and development budget, and a pension matched up to 7%.
