Sea Freight Forwarder

Location: Chelmsford, UK

Salary: Up to £35,000pa (DOE)

Working Hours: Monday-Friday (8:30am - 5:00pm)

Are you an experienced Sea Freight Forwarder, looking for a new and exciting role with an up-and-coming freight forwarder in Chelmsford? Then this role could be excellent for you!

My client is looking for an experienced Sea Freight Forwarder to join their team based in Chelmsford. The right candidate will have strong experience dealing with Sea Freight Import operations, managing shipments from start to finish and liaising with clients, suppliers and shipping lines.

Manage the day-to-day Sea Freight Import operations, start-to-finish.
Raising Job files and all of the appropriate operations paperwork.
Extensive supplier and client liaison and negotiation.
Liaising with shipping lines, overseas agents, hauliers and customs agents.
Managing import documentation, customs clearances and delivery arrangements.
Internal liaison with the sales team assisting with quotations and service information.Requirements:

Sea Freight Import operations experience is essential.
Strong understanding of the Sea Freight Import process.
Import operations experience for both FCL and LCL.
Understanding and Experience with Customs Clearances is advantageous.
Experience liaising with shipping lines, overseas agents and hauliers.
Pricing and negotiation experience desirable.
Excellent customer service experience.
