Job Description

CNC Milling Programmer/Operator/Setter -Perm-Oxford-£40k-£50k

We are recruiting for an experienced CNC Milling Programmer /Setter /Operator to join a modern engineering and manufacturing business producing complex, high-quality components.

The Role of the CNC Milling Programmer/Operator/Setter -

You will be responsible for the programming, setting and operation of CNC milling machines, working from engineering drawings and producing components to high standards of accuracy and quality.

Key responsibilities of the CNC Milling Programmer/Operator/Setter include -

* Programming, setting and operating 3, 4 and 5-axis CNC milling machines

* Online programming using Heidenhain controls

* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings

* Selecting tooling and optimising machine setups

* Machining large and complex components

* Inspecting and measuring your own work

* Working to tolerances specified on engineering drawings

* Maintaining high standards of quality and achieving right-first-time production

* Supporting continuous improvement and efficient manufacturing

* Working safely and maintaining an organised working environment

The ideal CNC Milling Programmer/Operator/Setter will have:

* Proven experience as a CNC Miller / Programmer Setter Operator

* Strong experience with Heidenhain

* Previous 5-axis milling experience

* Experience working with larger components

* Good understanding of engineering drawings and machining processes

* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

* Strong attention to detail and quality

* Good communication skills and a positive, reliable attitude considered.

* Experience with Fanuc controls and a variety of CNC machine types would be beneficial.
