Executive Assistant and Office Manager

Leigh-on-Sea | Full-time | Mon-Fri | Permanent | £30k-£40k

We are recruiting for an Executive Assistant and Office Manager to join a successful business based in Leigh-on-Sea. This is a varied and hands-on role supporting the smooth running of the office, providing support to the CEO and Directors, and overseeing key HR and business administration processes.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised, proactive professional who enjoys being the person who keeps everything running smoothly.

The Role:

You will be responsible for a broad range of office, operations, executive support and HR administration, including:

  • Overseeing the day-to-day running of the office.
  • Managing suppliers, contractors, maintenance, facilities and office supplies.
  • Managing office contracts, renewals and supplier relationships.
  • Supporting health & safety, fire safety, insurance and compliance requirements.
  • Providing administrative and organisational support to the CEO and Directors.
  • Coordinating meetings, diaries, travel, events and company communications.
  • Preparing reports, presentations, correspondence and meeting documents.
  • Taking meeting notes and following up on actions.
  • Supporting a range of HR administration, including recruitment, onboarding, contracts, probation and leavers.
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential employee records.
  • Coordinating appraisals, salary reviews and employee documentation.
  • Managing employee benefits, including pensions, private medical insurance and other schemes.
  • Supporting data protection, company records and regulatory administration.
  • Maintaining an annual calendar of key business, HR and compliance deadlines.
  • Supporting the company's CRM, including data audits, cleansing and system improvements.
  • Working with internal teams and external providers to resolve system and operational issues.
  • Supporting wider business projects and initiatives as required.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Highly organised and detail focused.
  • Proactive, practical and self-motivated.
  • Confident managing multiple priorities.
  • Experienced in operations, office management or executive support.
  • Comfortable supporting senior managers and Directors.
  • Familiar with UK HR administration and employee processes.
  • Confident with Microsoft Office and business systems.
  • Professional, discreet and approachable.
  • A strong communicator and relationship builder.
