Key Responsibilities:
Provide Emotional Support: Offer a listening ear and emotional support to students or individuals facing challenges or difficulties.
Behavioural Guidance: Work closely with students to promote positive behaviour and contribute to a nurturing learning environment.
Crisis Intervention: Be prepared to assist in crisis situations, providing immediate support and liaising with relevant professionals when necessary.
Collaboration with Stakeholders: Establish effective communication channels with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support for students.
Promote Well-being: Implement strategies to enhance the mental health and well-being of individuals, fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential records of interactions and interventions for monitoring and evaluation purposes.
Requirements:
Proven experience in a pastoral or support role within an educational or community setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Empathy and understanding of the challenges faced by individuals requiring pastoral support.
Ability to work collaboratively with other professionals and stakeholders.
Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the diverse needs of the individuals supported.
Qualifications:
A relevant qualification in pastoral care, counselling, social work, or a related field is desirable but not essential. Previous experience and a genuine passion for making a difference are highly valued.
Working Hours:
The position requires commitment Monday through Friday, with flexibility to respond to the dynamic needs of the role.
Salary:
The salary for this position is competitive, ranging from £80 to £100 per day, depending on the applicants experience and qualifications.
