Site Engineer

Job Description

Site Engineer - Middlesbrough Location: Middlesbrough, Teesside

Rate: £350 per day CIS

Duration: 12 months

Type: Long-term contract

Role & Responsibilities

  • Setting out and surveying works on site.
  • Checking levels, dimensions and alignment.
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Carrying out quality inspections and maintaining QA records.
  • Producing as-built information and site documentation.
  • Liaising with the Site Manager, Project Manager and subcontractors.
  • Identifying and resolving technical issues on site.
  • Ensuring works are delivered safely, accurately and in accordance with project specifications.
  • Supporting the wider site team with engineering and technical requirements.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Site Engineer on civil engineering/construction projects.
  • Strong setting-out experience.
  • Competent with surveying equipment such as Leica, Trimble or similar.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Good understanding of QA, ITPs and as-built documentation.
  • Relevant engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree) preferred.
  • Valid CSCS card.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Right to work in the UK
