Role Overview

We are looking for a technically minded and commercially driven Technical Sales Representative to join a growing international sales team. This is an exciting opportunity to work for an established UK manufacturer supplying specialist technical equipment into a wide range of global industries, including automotive, aerospace, coatings, electronics and materials testing.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage and develop relationships with a global network of distributors and agents, supporting sales growth across international markets.

* Provide in-depth technical support to customers, including interpreting testing standards and advising on suitable equipment specifications.

* Develop new international business opportunities, managing the sales process from initial enquiry through to order.

* Visit customers to follow up sales enquiries, develop relationships and convert opportunities.

* Deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations and training sessions both remotely and on-site.

* Maintain accurate CRM records, manage the sales pipeline and provide regular sales forecasts and reports.

* Monitor competitor activity and market trends, feeding information into sales strategy and future product development.

* Negotiate sales prices and discounts in consultation with the Sales & Marketing Manager.

* Support the development and implementation of sales strategies to increase market share.

* Assist with marketing campaigns, events, trade shows, website content, social media, email marketing and promotional materials.

* Conduct market research to identify new sales opportunities and emerging industry trends.

Experience & Skills

* Engineering HND level or equivalent qualification would be advantageous.

* Previous experience within a technical sales or engineering sales environment.

* Experience of international sales, ideally involving distributors, agents or multiple overseas territories.

* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly to customers from different backgrounds and cultures.
