Overview

DATA ENGINEER | London | Insurance Domain — Delivery Team Lead at i3® Agile Recruitment & Consulting Solutions for the Age of Intelligence. This role supports the London Office as part of a team building a next-gen data warehouse, powerful integrations, and insightful Power BI solutions to support Underwriting, Claims, and Operations, with a global reach.

We are looking for someone who is technically strong, proactive in communication, an independent problem-solver, and a team player with a deep understanding of insurance data (especially within the syndicate and company markets).

What You’ll Be Doing

Collaborate with the Lead Data Engineer and Business Analysts to deliver data solutions that meet evolving business needs.

Design and develop a data warehouse using star schema modelling.

Build seamless internal and external integrations.

Develop impactful Power BI dashboards and reports.

Provide ongoing data support and drive reconciliation processes.

Conduct thorough unit testing and produce clear documentation.

Technical Skills

Strong SQL Server and T-SQL experience

Deep understanding of data warehouse modelling

Experience with Azure Fabric, Pipelines, DevOps, and Git

Solid grasp of application data modelling and data integration

Industry Knowledge

Strong background in the insurance domain – particularly London Market business

Comfortable working with syndicate and company market data

Soft Skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong documentation and organisational capabilities

Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality outcomes

Analytical mindset with attention to detail
