The 15,000ft venue has internal and external seating for 600 guests and is a genuine foodies paradise with a funky neon-lit interior, 11 outstanding permanent vendors and 3 bars, alongside a rotation of guest pops ups. We welcomed 600,000 customers through our doors in our first year of trading and have ambitious growth plans for the future.
We’re on the hunt for a full time Social Media & Sales Assistant to join our fast paced marketing team. In just 12 months we’ve grown an Instagram community of 29k followers and now it’s time to increase our output to take all five social media channels - Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, X and TikTok to the next level. This is an Edinburgh based role which is perfect for a highly organised and experienced content creator with a track record of boosting hospitality sales via inbound and outbound marketing.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
Social Media
Owning the social media content from planning to implementing and executing shoots.
Creating and curating high quality creative for social media posts, including text, images, videos and graphics.
Understanding and conveying our brand identity with compelling visuals and tone of voice.
Confidently editing engaging Reels and TikToks, with voiceovers where necessary.
Writing and proofreading copy with exceptional spelling and grammar.
Monitoring and analysing social media trends and strategies to stay ahead of the curve.
Reporting on the performance of social media content, with feedback to enhance our digital strategy.
Liaising with our traders, partnered brands and other creatives to source compelling visuals.
Monitoring and responding to social media channels for customer enquiries, comments, and feedback
Cultivating and nurturing relationships online, proactively engaging with relevant individuals, and groups to grow our community.
Sales
Addressing all inbound booking enquiries in a timely manner, using our tone of voice.
Owning our booking system (ResDiary) and coordinating with our operations team to ensure an excellent guest experience.
Owning our events inbox - dealing with all customer communications and forwarding emails onto different departments where necessary.
Being proactive with outbound marketing, which includes building relationships with local businesses, neighbouring offices and social groups to increase group bookings.
Confidently attending online and offline meetings to meet guests and understand their requirements.
Representing the business with strong interpersonal skills and excellent written communication.
Reporting on the performance of reservations and developing strategies to improve upselling and enhance the guest experience.
Working with the marketing team on focused campaigns (e.g. Christmas) with compelling messaging to increase bookings.
Maintaining strong working relationships with our traders, marketing team and operations team.
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
A wealth of experience in planning and creating viral content, ideally with a food focus.
A working knowledge of trending sounds, hashtags and themes.
A DSLR / mirrorless camera / filming equipment with the necessary accessories (e.g. tripod/ gimbal) to create professional content.
Experience working with editing software including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom, iMovie and Canva.
An eye for detail and an intuitive understanding of composition and what content formats perform best across each channel.
An adaptive tone of voice to suit our vibe.
A gentle, friendly story-telling approach to communications.
Past experience in similar social media and business development roles.
Excellent organisation and inbox management.
A go getter attitude, with the confidence to work independently and as part of a larger team.
A passion for food and drink. Ideally with experience handling group bookings in hospitality.
