FULL STACK CLOUD / AI ENGINEER – SC CLEARED

• Rate: Up to £750 per day
• Location: Cheltenham
• Working Pattern: Hybrid
• Contract: 3–6 months initially, with potential for extension
• Clearance: Active SC Clearance required
• Type: Contract

I’m currently working with a leading technology organisation operating within the National Security space, who are looking for an experienced Full Stack Cloud / AI Engineer to join their team on an initial 3–6 month contract.

This is a hands‑on engineering role combining full-stack cloud development, AWS, DevOps automation and AI experimentation, including the development of AI agents.

THE ROLE

You’ll be working across a range of cloud and AI‑focused engineering activities, helping to design and deliver modern, scalable solutions.

The role will involve:

• Full-stack cloud engineering across the development lifecycle
• Developing and experimenting with AI agents and AI-driven solutions
• Building cloud-native applications and services using AWS
• Working with EKS / Kubernetes where appropriate
• Developing with Node.js / TypeScript and Python
• Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
• Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
• Containerisation using Docker
• Automating development and deployment processes
• Working closely with technical teams to prototype, test and deliver new capabilities

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Strong commercial experience in full-stack software engineering
• Strong experience with AWS
• Experience with Node.js / TypeScript and Python
• Experience developing or experimenting with AI agents / LLM-based applications
• Good knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes, ideally including AWS EKS
• Experience with Terraform / Infrastructure as Code
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines, ideally using GitHub Actions
• Strong understanding of DevOps and cloud automation
• Comfortable working across both software development and cloud infrastructure
• Active SC Clearance
