DevOps Engineer - Blockchain

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer with a specialization in blockchain technologies to join their team in East London. You will be responsible for building, automating, and managing the infrastructure that supports our blockchain applications and networks. This role involves ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our systems through robust CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and continuous monitoring. You will play a vital role in enabling rapid deployment and stable operation of our cutting-edge blockchain products.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for blockchain applications and smart contracts.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes using tools like Terraform and Ansible.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and security, implementing proactive measures to prevent issues.
• Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure smooth and efficient software delivery.
• Implement robust security best practices for infrastructure and applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to infrastructure and deployment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years of experience in DevOps or Systems Engineering, with a focus on cloud environments.
• Proven experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
• Strong proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Experience managing cloud platforms and containerization technologies.
• Familiarity with blockchain technologies, protocols, and smart contract deployment is highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
