Job Description

Role: Audit Manager

Location: Leeds

Salary: Up to £60,000 depending on experience

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established and growing accountancy practice in Leeds as an Audit Manager, taking responsibility for a varied portfolio of clients across audit and accounts.

The role would suit an experienced Audit Manager who enjoys a hands-on, client-facing position and is confident managing assignments, client relationships and junior team members. You'll have the opportunity to work with a broad range of businesses, take ownership of your portfolio and play an important role in the continued development of the practice.

Responsibilities of the Audit Manager job include:

Managing a portfolio of audit assignments from planning through to completion

Taking overall responsibility for the delivery of audit work

Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact

Reviewing audit and accounts work completed by junior team members

Supporting, mentoring and developing members of the wider team

Planning workloads and ensuring assignments are completed within agreed deadlines

Identifying and resolving technical issues throughout the audit process

Liaising with clients and providing practical advice where appropriate

Working closely with Partners and senior colleagues on more complex assignments

Supporting the wider practice across accounts and general practice work where required

Identifying opportunities to improve client service and develop relationships

Requirements of the Audit Manager job include:

Strong previous audit experience within a UK accountancy practice

Previous experience managing audit assignments and client relationships

ACA/ACCA qualified or strong qualified-by-experience candidates considered
