Financial Controller

Our client is recruiting for an experienced Financial Controller to join a growing wholesale business and lead its finance function.Reporting directly to the CEO, this is the most senior finance role in the organisation, offering full ownership of financial operations, commercial finance, cashflow management, compliance, controls, and finance team development.Key Responsibilities:Lead month-end close and preparation of management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cashflow reportingOwn cashflow forecasting, working capital management and financial controlsDeliver margin analysis, KPI reporting and commercial insights to support strategic decision-makingPartner with senior leadership on pricing, profitability and business growth initiativesManage VAT, PAYE, payroll, pension compliance and HMRC relationshipsOversee lender reporting and invoice finance facilitiesBuild, lead and develop the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teamsDrive process improvements, automation and a strong control environment across the finance functionRequirements:ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, or qualified by experiencePrevious Financial Controller experience within an SME environmentStrong commercial finance, reporting and cashflow management experienceExperience managing compliance, financial controls and stakeholder relationshipsComfortable operating in a hands‑on role and reporting directly to a CEOThis is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional looking to take ownership of a growing finance function and make a significant impact on business performance.Apply today for a confidential discussion.
