Payroll Assistant

Alexander Daniels are recruiting for a Payroll Assistant for a business based in Birmingham. This business offers a great work culture and the opportunity for the successful applicant to join a small team on a full-time basis or part time reduced hours.
Key Responsibilities:
Generating and inputting Weekly timesheets
Recording Payroll data through SAGE
Calculating overtime, salary and work pattern changes.
Inputting New Starters and Leavers
Processing payslips and P45's
Following correct GDPR guidelines.
Resolving issues employees have with timesheets, payslips and other payroll matters.
Changing employee bank details, when necessary, to process payments accurately.
Maintaining the Payroll general inbox.
Processing SSP, SMP, SPP and SAP.
Processing Pension Opt Out Forms.
Assisting with Pension Auto-Enrol.
Essential Skills:
All applicants must have a strong foundation in maths and general organisation skills.
Strong Excel skills including VLOOKUP's and Pivot Tables.
Attention to detail
Sensitivity and understanding
Ability to work independently
Interpersonal rules
Sound knowledge of relevant legislation
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
