A well-established UK organisation is looking to hire a 1st / 2nd Line Support Engineer to join their internal IT team based in Manchester.

They are big with progression & development opportunities and are looking for a candidate who is keen to get stuck in and grow within a close-knit team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1st/2nd line support for day-to-day IT issues (desktop, hardware, software, user access).
  • Escalate and assist with 2nd line issues involving networks, servers, and core systems.
  • Support users both remotely and on-site (when required).
  • Troubleshoot Windows OS, Office 365, printers, and general desktop environments.
  • Log, track, and resolve tickets using a service desk system.
  • Work closely with senior IT staff on more complex incidents and projects.
  • Maintain excellent customer service and communication with non-technical users.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in 1st / 2nd line IT support (internal IT or MSP background).
  • Proficient across O365, Active Directory & Networking.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Confident communicator with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
